Construction General Photos

Woah, Walls!

First wall goes up!

A month of mock ups have fine tuned our screwing, squaring, sheathing, re-squaring, rescrewing…  We’re skillfully on to the real deal, and it’s gonna/got to happen real fast! This house is going to be fully framed, taped and cellulose-blown in these next two weeks (right, Ed?)! Just in time for July 4th fireworks watching in our prime Hudson river front location.  We’re lucky to have a great team which been working diligently and good-humoredly.

Melvin, Obi, Chelsea and Shannon rock the panels in here before they go outside.

Robert takes a breather from the first wall section to show off his screw gun.

Mock up madness: Kim, Steve, Siena and Brendan (off in the shop cutting a length of sheathing and so not in the photo) tag team the parapet detail while Felicia and Vanessa fastidiously tape seal the windows

Vanessa (pictured here), Felicia and Steve are making sure we've got our window details right!

Whitney and Ed supervise as lull drops in a floor panel and Carly chops blocking

The rains threaten to halt our work, but last week we saw a (double) rainbow!
