Celebrate Empowerhouse!

With a blink of an eye, the end of summer was here.  It’s hard to believe that we are weeks away from the Solar Decathlon competition.  The summer certainly tested our limits of what is possible, and happily we proved that we are capable of surviving pretty much anything…earthquakes and hurricanes included.  By the end of August it was time to start preparing to send the house down to Washington DC.  In what was a very successful attempt, we took to the Hoboken waterfront at The Stevens Institute of Technology to give this house a proper send off party. It certainly meant a lot to all of us to see so many of our supporters, especially Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer, New School President David Van Zandt, Stevens President Nariman Farvardin as well as university deans, partners, sponsors, family, friends and alumni to come out to see our house for the first time!  Thank you!!

If you weren’t able to make it out to the send off event, come see us and Empowerhouse on the National Mall in Washington DC Septemeber 23 – October 2!  In the meantime, here’s what you missed at this summer’s best waterfront party in Hoboken:
