Last Friday, the PATH train (the subterranean link between Manhattan and New Jersey that isn’t the Holland or Lincoln Tunnel) posted a forecast for the coming week: SOGGY TIMES. Soggy times indeed, but we’ve trudged right through it. With little time to complete our project before its first official unveiling next Tuesday (GASP!) rain or shine, the Empowerhouse team is working. You can see the storm clouds gathering:
To say the least, the past few days have been wet. The locker room smells worse than usual with the added humidity of saturated work boots and our wardrobes have taken a shift toward the more absurd. It seems only fitting that as Jen and I built and clad the RAIN garden that there should be torrents of RAIN. In response we adopted the new late summer styles that you can see below:
Ridiculous? Yes. Of course. But it kept us dry and able to build the darn thing without getting hypothermia or pruning into soggy raisins. Jason even got in on the fun with his super stylish Red Rain Ensemble:
As always, the Sun must come out again as indeed it did…
…and this time we were ready for it with our newly installed Yingli Panda Solar Panels!!!!
